Office Administrator/Systems Navigator
Jiana has over 20 years of office administration experience and has worked in the non-profit sector for over 12 years. Bridging the education, leadership, advocacy, and prevention based work of the YWCA Muskoka with a mindfulness and trauma informed care lens, Jiana’s passion is to create opportunities for individuals to thrive in their communities and to discover and embody their individual strengths.
As a settler to the Muskoka area, in the traditional land of the Anishnaabeg people, Jiana's people are Hawaaiian, Scots/Irish folks, and she is a heterosexual woman with cisgender privilege. She, along with her husband and daughters moved to Muskoka from California in 1995. Since then she has volunteered for many non-profit organizations throughout Muskoka including; Community Theatre, The Heart and Stroke Foundation, The Breakfast Club, Volunteer Coordinator for the Manna Food Bank, Crisis Responder for Muskoka Victim Services and is currently the Treasurer for The Centre for Mindfulness in Muskoka and is an advocate for mental health and addiction awareness.
