Stacey Schat

Stacey joined YWCA in 2010 as a Youth Programs Facilitator, after relocating to Muskoka.  She became the Director of Youth Services in 2014.  

In 2022 she moved into the role of Director of Women Services.

She brings with her a Bachelor of Education and over 15 years experience in the education field. A classroom teacher for five years, Stacey has seen firsthand the importance of helping instill confidence and healthy self-esteem in children.  After 12 years facilitating and developing  innovative youth programming  at YWCA Muskoka she made the change to Women's Programs.  Having witnessed the erosion of women's independence, economic security and sense of community during the COVID pandemic, she felt compelled to focus on helping women recover and thrive in its aftermath.

Stacey also holds a B.F.A. in Theatre from Ryerson University and continues to enjoy theatre as both a hobby and as a tool in her facilitating.
