An Exhibition of Artists & Makers
Muskoka artists and makers identifying as women are invited to participate in an exhibition of our creative talents coming up October 20 to November 4, 2023 at the Muskoka Arts and Crafts Chapel Gallery in Bracebridge. Please click the link to complete an application with your contact information, bio, up to 3 images of works you'd like to include, and an image of the artist working in their creative space (studio, garage, picnic table, kitchen table - anything goes!)
We also have the opportunity to host workshops, docent in the gallery on three Saturdays. If you are interested in volunteering for a sitting, or would like to provide an arts-based workshop please contact Hannah at the YWCA Muskoka.
What is the workshop about?
Igniting joy and feeling whole by engaging with innate creativity.
Gently releasing doubt, judgment and other blocks to joy and creativity with simple, profound practices.
Who is it for?
Anyone who hasn’t made any art since childhood or anyone who makes art every day
Anyone who thinks they “aren’t creative” or “can’t make art” but secretly would also like to prove themselves wrong about that
What is the intended outcome of the workshop?
That you will have completed your own uniquely expressive 14 x 11 inch finished mixed media collage, ready for framing, plus a few smaller practice artworks.
Technical skills related to pasting, painting, natural printmaking, stenciling, metal foiling and mark-making with various media.
