Youth Council

A place for women ages 14-30 to meet, grow, learn and support.

The YWCA Muskoka, in conjunction with the YWCA Canada, facilitated Youth Council, a place for young women and gender diverse individuals in the Muskoka community to meet, learn, grow and support.

Youth Council has ended for the 2021-2022 year. We hope to start up again in the fall of 2022.

This fabulous group discussed being a woman or gender diverse individual in the Muskoka community and beyond.

Each monthly meeting focused on a topic or skill to assist in personal growth and education. Some topics included mindfulness and self-care, career and personal brand development, current issues affecting marginalized groups in Canada, feminism in a small town, and mental health in a virtual world.
